HP Touchpad
« on: August 21, 2011, 02:33:30 PM »
Who was lucky enough to pick up a $99 or $149 Touchpad this weekend?

Someone told me I'm weird, yet again they hunt defenseless animals as a hobby.

I didn't want one until I couldn't find one anywhere.  TigerDirect had them in stock for a couple hours early this morning.  I just missed it.

You'll be damn lucky to find one but try Costco if you guys have that store. A couple of days ago they still had them in their system as regular price but they've discounted the 32GB version. I called today to have the one I bought at full price adjusted to the new price (I bought it at full so when they lowered the price I would of had one already)

So did any SFFers end up getting one of these bad boys?  I've seen them pop up briefly here and there (newegg, tigerdirect, buy.com, etc...) but they're gone within 30 minutes or so of becoming available to order.

32GB, It's very nice, & if HP had invested in it more it could of been a great contender to the iPad, everything about it feels like the iPad but Web OS is very smooth. The issue with it is that the Hardware is not fast enough for the OS.  Playing around with it and turning off how HP handles the background logging fixes it a little. For $150 I love it
