Sony Ericsson is unstoppable and seems to carry most of their franchises to make use of Android. Now comes the turn of the Walkman range of handsets, which as you might imagine, are geared primarily to multimedia content. It was possible to know some details of a new terminal called W8, which is a powerful reminder to the current X8.

The Walkman range of handsets, has been one of the more joy you have brought to Sony Ericsson. It is no wonder why over the emergence of new terminals that incorporate Android inside, as Sony Ericsson is pouring in to support this operating system, with terminals as its new Xperia Arc or Play. The terminal from which we come to speak is the new W8, which is presented as the first handset to incorporate Android Walkman inside. In appearance and characteristics closely resembles the known Xperia X8, but in this case, the new terminal will have three different colors, blue, metallic red and orange.

Features

Among the features of the new terminal are operating system Android 2.1 Timescape Eclair with customization. The processor has a speed of 600 MHz Everything is handled on a capacitive screen three inches in size with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The digital camera can shoot with a quality up to 3.2 megapixels. As for memory, inside has 128 MB, which can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 16 GB. In addition to the FM radio, we find WiFi, Bluetooth A2DP and of course, GPS. Its dimensions are 99.0 × 54.0 × 15.0 mm and the final weight of 104 grams.

Distribution

Unfortunately, the new terminal will initially be available only in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. We have no data yet on whether we have this terminal in our markets, but assume that will not escape this market opportunity and the launch of this new device will be announced to the other markets later.

Good, maybe it can slowly complete with the Ipod.
