Robo Defense is fun if you like tower games.

Hey you guys know how to close certain apps? I have the free android task killer but it doesn't seem to close all the apps. I notice that even if I try to close a lot of apps some instantly make their way to being open again.

On Friday I was at a friend's bday jam and some of my friends went installing new apps to my droid x. Problem is 2 of these new apps are always running and I can't find out how to turn them off. One is Handscent, which is like a text messaging interface while the other is some security thing called Lookout.

Also, the android widget for time doesn't work right. The date is right all the time but the time is wrong on the norm. I removed it from my main screens and replaced it with a MUIU one that my boy uses.

if you go to your settings>manage applications you can kill them all in there

if you're going to use handcent instead of the stock messaging app you would have to turn off notifications on the stock app, i don't think you can kill it completely

the clock widget i use is just called digital clock i believe

lookout is always running i think unless you uninstall it

thanks bro.. going to check this out later. the lookout app runs constantly. i think this one drains my battery the most.

was lovin it yesterday.. i was on the road with a bunch of family and the miss and was listening to spanish radio to hear my real madrid losing to osassuna for la liga... I could probably have streamed it but streaming video really eats your battery. Tune In lets you hear any radio station live around the world. Been using that app to tune into Portuguese, Spanish and Italian radio that I miss

I have an HTC Evo and love the hell out of it.  I got some App killer, I think its called TasKiller.  I just went into the market and searched for a free app killer.  It seems to work fine, you just open it up and it shows you all of the apps that are running and allows you to close them individually.  Although I don't really run too many apps at a time, and never play games on my phone.  I do watch a lot of videos though, and my battery drains faster then I ever thought, especially when the 4G is on (so its normally off).

ive got the acclaim and ive gone through all my apps, it tends to keep my battery life  if i dont have 50 apps running at all times, plus if you go into your app settings and delete aps you will never it makes it easier too.

Since I ran over my phone with my car (long story) I had to pick a new phone. Sprint gave me limited options, so I got the HTC Evo Shift 4G -  I really like the QWERTY keyboard as oppose to typing onscreen. So, we’ll see, so far I like it.

I’m really digging it so far.. got my Xbox friends list, Facebook, twitter, email, etc.. everything I need and the screen is amazing. Seeing Flash work on a portable device was shocking!

I have to get an xbox live app, if one exists. I don't do twitter but fb on occasion I do use either the app or straight from web.

You guys saw the SB ad where Sony Erickson had that game-phone? Man I want that! All JUST for the buttons!! I can't tell you how many times I've been frustrated at playing an emulator on my droid x and messup because the buttons are touch.. I hit down instead of right and B instead of A way too many times.

i use the 1337pwn.com xbox app.   it let's you know when your friends sign on, and you can see who's online and all that jazz.

I thought about that, but considering I’ll be getting a 3DS and PSP2 for gaming, a QWERTY keyboard was more important for my phone.

Here is the XBL app I got.. it was $1.50, but it's very impressive and got good reviews. http://www.spark360app.com/

I downloaded the 1337xbox app, free. Not bad. Have to add gamertags of those I want to know status of, which I will because sometimes I log on a PC just to see if certain people are on to play.

Might check that app hdinred bought.

i bought it yesterday, and i honestly LOVE it!! you can set it for notifications when you get messages and everything! which is really awesome when it comes to all this madden crap some of us has to do and all people want to do is send xbl messages,  so its like getting a txt or email alert, its pretty bad ass, i even bought it for my hubby.  i just wished i knew bout that one a whole lot sooner, i tried the 1337xbox app and it really isnt anywhere near as good.
