Got my Halo:Reach Xbox reserved at gamestop.  And the wife is on board to help me find a way to get it.  Which means, I'm getting it.

That would be pretty sickly sweet, but they haven't done it with the prior 2 games, so I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

Yeah, that's too many.  I'm gonna take my red one to Gamestop and say it freezes occasionally.  I have their swap out warranty, and it was $400 when I got it 1.5 years ago, so they have to credit me $400.  Should be a slam dunk.  Only problem is if some prick says I can't swap for the halo edition because it's special/limited.  To which I'll bitchslap his ass and say find me a RED one then!

Bungie Clamping Down On Quitters In Reach

One of the things that developers have really overlooked in recent years is truly punishing those who quit out of online multiplayer games and ruin the online experience for everyone else involved.

Speaking to X360A this week, Bungie’s Community Director, Brian Jarrard, while talking about what they’ve done in Halo: Reach to deal with those that constantly break the rules, mentioned that the quitters might be in for a bit of a shock this September.

“I think one of the new things people will be excited about too, is how we’re going to be able to penalise people who are habitually quitting out of games, which isn’t exactly cheating, but it creates a really negative experience for everybody else in the game,” explained Jarrard.

“We actually have new tools now to detect that and eventually, people who do this habitually will actually be penalised,” he continued, “We want to be able to remove them from the population so they can’t make everyone else keep having a bad time.”

The words of Jarrard will be welcomed by all – except those that habitually quit, d'uh – as they’ve been a plague on the online community for quite some time.

Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

In the interview with Jarrard and Campaign Designer, Niles Sanky, that’s due to be published sometime over the weekend, Jarrard talks about some of the other improvements that have gone on behind the scenes to improve the online experience as a whole. So keep an eye open for that.
