Xbox Live is now a rental service for those games like the PS+ is.  They announced today that if you lose your Gold.. bu-bye games that you have.

To be clear, that is for XBone.

The 360 titles are still kept.
Oh wow!   Well that's good.

That pisses me off that xbox 360 players dont have to keep gold to be able to play their games. What a crock of horseshit!

What do you mean?  If you stop having Gold you still get to play those games you downloaded right?

I believe thats what he said.  The 360 users can download the games and keep them after their gold expires.  XboxONe users have to maintain Gold in order to keep the games.  Right?

Yeah it seems to be how it is with XB1. With the 360 you just have to have a gold account to download it. Once it is downloaded you can play them whenever you want regardless of subscription status. With the XB1 you have to have a gold in order to play them at all.

Yeah... except Dishonored was discounted during the summer games sale to ~$7.50 and I and a lot of other people bit. The game is obviously worth the money, no question there, I just feel a bit duped is all. I did the same thing with Dark Souls, provided I think there was a bit more time in between the sale and the Games w/ Gold thing. All this means is I'm less likely to jump on a game on sale now as it's likely an indication it will be on GwG soon.

Only played the Zero one so far.  Yeah, well, poo. I'm just happy I didn't pay for them before they went free. Which leads me to my next post.........

I almost jumped on that sale as well. I was just hoping for the disc with all the DLC to go on sale for $10.  A real bummer for those that just got a deal of a sale, only to be shown the same for free.  This has been the #1 feedback topic I've heard on this months offerings. Hopefully MS listens.  I really liked the Guacamelee release where we got it free (on XB1) on it's release, and now it's a pay for game. Maybe it would have been better if Dishonored was free with gold for a spell, and then on sale a few weeks later.  That would have been better to the loyal gold members.
