Historically the explanation for the "poor vehicle control" (especially the aircraft!) is that it's a game balance thing. They already have enough problems with people waiting for vehicles to spawn instead of just moving on and playing the game. The vehicles can be rather OP as well, if the were seamless to operate, they'd definitely be OP. Lastly, outside of the cars/atvs non of the vehicles should be easy to us, especially the aircraft, if for no other reason than realism.

(Also to my understanding they've been getting better with every iteration, but I don't think they'll ever make em "easy" to use.)

I don’t know.. saying “difficult controls make it more balanced or realistic” seems to be an excuse for bad game design. I know DICE themselves have given that reasoning.. but there are other ways to address those issues, other than unintuitive controls.

I don't see anything wrong with the vehicle controls, the aircraft are not easy to fly.  It takes some time to get used to them, and once you think you know how to fly a helicopter some bad ass "pilot" gets up there and blows you out of the sky.  A lot to the helicopter is having a crew up there with you, a good gunner (if needed) and a repairman are essential to staying up in the air for a given amount of time.  Or if you're a gunner having a pilot that knows how to keep a target in the window.  Its definitely not easy.

As for the Jets, they're difficult too.  But once you rank it up and get some of the better upgrades it gets better.  Still a bitch though.  But oh so much fun!

Just hop in a tank.  There is nothing wrong with the controls on those things.  What a blast.

But this will definitely be a NextBox or bust.
