LMFAO!

hahahahahahaaha!

but aren't their end of the Year numbers ok?   don't they get all their data after it's all said and done, somewhat correct?    the surprising thing for me was seeing the lack of the PS3 exclusives, really breaking any sales type of numbers.   why the hell don't their exclusives sell?   they're good!

Well take into consideration how many games you bought this year, not xbla, indies, etc. But full fledged AAA $60 titles? How many of those were third party titles? How many were exclusives (to either system)? Most people only buy so many games a year. This whole recession thing doesn't help either, I think I may have bought 3 games this year and I'm pretty sure the only one I paid full price for was Skyrim.....

In theory Sony will have 17 exclusives this year. How many people buy 17 titles a year? Much less all exclusives and one that aren't third party? Let's face it, regardless if you only own a 360 or you only own a ps3, the vast majority of titles you own are third party.

this is very true.   guessing that's why the exclusive is a dying breed, and not as important as it once was.

Great games are as important as ever. Exclusives are definitely important when choosing to buy one console over the other. Go figure I was still on the Sony side of the fence (hoping bluray would be a relevant tool in game creation.... fail....) until Oblivion came out, then I knew I needed a 360. Third party studios have just been remarkably more efficient at it than 1st party studios. Even Nintendo seems to be slipping a bit.
