Lame question
« on: June 01, 2010, 03:18:04 PM »
I know this is a lame waste of a post question, but......how do I get my cut & paste news to look like a quote like the rest of y'all do?  I just want my shit to look as fancy as the rest of the site members.

Ok now everyone laugh at the noob. :)

you need to hit the quote button... it's the one that is right above the smileys, with the kissy face, and crying face.

Thanks, I got that one down.  I'm talking about when I post news from other sites.  I see a lot of you here get that quoteish looking background for those.  I'm jealous. haha

A lot of the tags are semi-automated for you via button options, but its standard BBCode (Bulletin Board Code) which is a markup language like HTML or XML.  Here are some other examples:

Once you understand how it works, its pretty simple.

Thanks for the heads up Omni. BBCode looks hella easier than HTML.

Based on what I read, I should be able to make this in italics, and this underlined.

Edit:Kickass! It worked!  Thanks again Omni! :)
