It's been out in Europe for a while and has recently hit T-Mobile in the U.S.

Runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and uses HTC's Sense UI but the big bummer on this phone is that it is not going to recieve a Windows Phone Series 7 update which is a real shame. :(

If you were going to think of getting a Windows based phone, I'd suggest waiting for the WPS7 based ones due later this year.  8)

It was confirmed yesterday that the HD2 will not get Windows Phone Series 7. Its a fantastic phone from what I've seen and would be even better with an update. :(

i might pick this up today, even without it being able to upgrade like you were saying.   i've seen nothing but great stuff about it, and they say that the 6.5, should pretty be much on par with the 7.     i guess we'll see.      wonder why they wouldn't have an update?
